It's time to connect with nature and uncover the hidden gems within its renowned natural parks as we venture into three breathtaking hikes that will leave you in awe of Cádiz’s unspoiled beauty.
1. Mojón de la Víbora Trail: A nature lover's paradise
Located within the Los Alcornocales and Sierra de Grazalema Natural Parks, the Mojón de la Víbora (Viper's Cairn) Trail will immerse you in a rich tapestry of vegetation.
Wander through a landscape filled with holm oaks, cork oaks and broom, while keeping an eye out for the diverse animal species that call this place home. From roe deer to peregrine falcons and short-toed eagles, the trail is a nature lover's dream.

2 Puerto Calvito Trail: A wildlife wonderland
As you embark on the Puerto Calvito Trail, you'll be treated to yet another showcase of Cádiz's diverse flora and fauna. This route takes hikers along the Cañada Real de la Breña and through the Garganta de Millán to Villaluenga del Rosario. Here, you'll encounter wild olive trees, holm oaks and cork oaks, providing a serene and shaded journey.
Keep your eyes peeled for the area's emblematic mountain goats, deer and foxes, as well as the impressive griffon vultures that have one of their largest nesting colonies nearby.

3 Calzada Romana Trail: A journey through history
Take a step back in time as you hike the Calzada Romana (Roman Road) Trail, connecting the towns of Ubrique and Benaocaz. This ancient route, once traversed by Romans, offers stunning views of the Sierra Alta and the Sierra de Ubrique.
The trail highlights the region's rich vegetation and the delightful songs of warblers, goldfinches and finches.
