Andalucía weekend weather forecast December 18-21: Cloudy skies, some rain and breezy Atlantic fronts
Gentle sunshine and misty mornings at first, turning wetter and windier from the west as the weekend goes on
This weekend keeps things changeable across Andalucía, with a fairly quiet start before more widespread rain and some brisk winds return over the weekend. Temperatures stay on the mild side for mid-December, especially near the coast, though it will feel cooler and damper inland at times.Thursday December 18
Andalucía weather forecast, Thursday December 18Thursday is mostly settled, with partly cloudy or clear skies and some early low cloud or mist, especially inland and in the far east where an isolated shower is possible. Cloud tends to increase from west in Cádiz to east in Granada by the afternoon. Temperatures are little changed, perhaps nudging up along the Mediterranean, and winds stay light and variable, so it should feel pleasant in any sunshine.
Friday December 19
Andalucía weather forecast, Friday December 19Cloud thickens across the region, mainly as mid and high cloud, giving a greyer day overall. A few showers may develop later in the western third near the Atlantic near Almería, but many places there stay dry for long spells. Minimum temperatures rise slightly in the west, with small changes elsewhere, and afternoon highs are similar or a touch lower than on Thursday. Winds remain light and variable.
Saturday December 20
Andalucía weather forecast, Saturday December 20Saturday turns more unsettled, with cloudier skies and rain spreading from west to east through Seville , during the day. The western half should see some brighter breaks again later in the afternoon. Night-time values rise in the eastern third, while daytime temperatures fall in the west and hold steady further east, although Málaga may reach around 19 degrees. Winds begin light but freshen from the west, bringing moderate westerlies and some livelier gusts along exposed coasts.
Sunday December 21
Andalucía weather forecast, Sunday December 21Sunday is the wettest and coolest day, with very cloudy skies and moderate rain pushing west to east. Over higher ground, the snow line sits around 1,400 metres, so the tallest peaks could see a wintry touch. Jaén and Córdoba will be see a chilly start to the day. Minimum temperatures change little, but daytime values dip, and westerly winds become brisk along both Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts.
By the end of the weekend, most of Andalucía will have picked up plenty of rain and a fresher breeze, but there will still be usable brighter slots between fronts, especially if plans can be timed around the duller, wetter spells.
