Andalucía weekly weather forecast June 22-25: Orange warnings as the heat ramps up further
Soaring temperatures continue inland with orange alerts in several provinces before a welcome dip arrives by midweek
After Sunday's Midsummer's Day high of 42°C in Córdoba, the heat shows little sign of easing as the week begins, across Andalucía. If anything, Monday and Tuesday push things further, with orange warnings now in place across several interior provinces. There is some relief on the way by Wednesday and Thursday, when temperatures start to ease back from their peak, though it will still feel warm for most.Monday June 22
Andalucía temperatures, Monday June 22It is another scorcher inland, with orange heat warnings in force for Córdoba, Granada, Almería and Jaén, all expected to top 40+°C. Seville sits just under that with a yellow warning at around 37°C. Skies stay mostly partly cloudy, with some high cloud drifting through in the afternoon, and cloud building over the eastern mountains, where the odd shower or thunderstorm cannot be ruled out. Temperatures change little overall, though minimums creep up slightly along the Mediterranean coast and dip a touch in the far west. Winds stay light and variable, with moderate spells from the east or southeast, and the Almería coast sees moderate, occasionally strong, easterly winds.
Tuesday June 23
Andalucía temperatures, Tuesday June 23Much the same story continues, with the heat warnings holding firm in the same areas as Monday. Skies remain partly cloudy with mid and high level cloud about, and dust still lingering in the air. Temperatures stay much where they are, with a few maximums edging up locally. Winds are light and variable once again, turning moderate at times from the east or south, with moderate to occasionally strong easterlies along the Almería coast continuing to keep Tarifa and the Strait breezy.
Wednesday June 24
Andalucía temperatures, Wednesday June 24A noticeable shift at last, with temperatures beginning to ease back or hold steady rather than climb. Skies bring intervals of high cloud, with some building over the mountains during the day and a chance of the odd shower in the eastern ranges. Dust remains in suspension. Winds turn light and variable, with moderate westerly spells along the Atlantic slope bringing Huelva a touch of relief, while moderate easterly winds continue along the eastern Mediterranean coast.
Thursday June 25
Andalucía temperatures, Thursday June 25Temperatures generally continue to drop, the exception being the western Mediterranean coast, where Málaga sees maximums tick up slightly. Skies are partly cloudy, with low cloud lingering over the western third of the region in the morning before clearing, and more cloud building over the eastern mountains later on. Winds stay light from the west along the Atlantic coast, while the eastern Mediterranean sees light, variable winds with moderate easterly gusts, keeping things lively around Cádiz.
With the worst of the heat now behind us, this looks set to be a week of slowly cooling temperatures, even if it does not feel that way just yet for those in the hottest spots.
Min and max temperatures in Andalucía this week

- Tuesday June 23: Min 20ºC; Max 42ºC
- Wednesday June 24: Min 20ºC; Max 39ºC
