Cartagena beach bus schedule for transfer to playas in Cala Cortina and El Portús
The beach bus returns to Cartagena this summer with different routes for getting to Cala Cortina and El Portús
This Friday June 13 sees the start of bus number 12 in Cartagena, the ‘BUS PLAYA’ which connects the city centre of Cartagena with the beaches of Cala Cortina and El Portús.
New this year is the fact that this beach bus will have two different routes – one going towards Cala Cortina and the other towards El Portús. It will say the beach it is going to on the front of the bus.
With this adaptation of the summer beach bus service, Cartagena aims to increase the number of buses going to Cala Cortina, which was where three-quarters of bus users wanted to get to last summer.
The Cartagena beach bus service will run until September 14, 2025. The timetable is as follows:
#12 Bus Playa to Cala Cortina
Departures from Cartagena: 9:00 - 10:00 - 11:00 - 12:00 - 13:00 - 14:00 - 15:30 - 16:30 - 17:30 - 18:30 - 19:30 - 20:30
Departures from Cala Cortina: 9:30 - 10:30 - 11:30 - 11:30 - 12:30 - 13:30 - 14:30 - 16:00 - 17:00 - 18:00 - 19:00 - 20:00 - 21:00
Route: Departure from Plaza María Cristina - Alameda de San Antón - Paseo Alfonso XIII - Capitanes Ripoll - Plaza Puertas de San José - Cuesta del Batel - Paseo del Muelle - Cala Cortina
#12 Bus Playa to El Portús
Departures from Cartagena: 10:30 - 11:30 - 12:30 - 16:30 - 17:30 - 18:30 - 19:30
Departures from El Portús: 11:00 - 12:00 - 13:00 - 17:00 - 18:00 - 19:00 - 20:00
Route: Departure Hospital del Rosell - Paseo Alfonso XIII - Alameda de San Antón - Sebastián Feringán - Carretera de Tentegorra - Avd. José Luis Meseguer - Canteras - RM-E21 - El Portus
