Eligible foreign residents only have until June 30 to apply for Spain's regularisation process
Heniam & Associates can help eligible applicants gather evidence, prepare documents and submit their application before the deadline closes

Time is running out for foreign nationals who may qualify for Spain's extraordinary regularisation process, with applications set to close on June 30, 2026.
The measure is designed to help certain foreign residents who are currently in an irregular administrative situation, as well as some international protection applicants, obtain legal residence and work authorisation in Spain.
To be eligible, applicants must be able to demonstrate that they were already living in Spain before January 1, 2026 and prove a continuous stay of at least five months at the time of their application.
Evidence can include documents such as medical appointments, consular appointments, health insurance payments, purchase records in Spain and, in the case of minors, proof of school attendance.
While the requirements may sound straightforward, many applicants are unsure which documents can be used as evidence or whether they meet the necessary criteria. With the deadline fast approaching, seeking professional guidance can help avoid delays, mistakes or missed opportunities.
Heniam & Associates, which has offices at La Manga Club and Los Belones, assists clients throughout the application process, helping them understand their eligibility, gather supporting documentation and navigate the administrative procedures involved.
The regularisation process is open to eligible foreign nationals regardless of nationality, meaning it could also be relevant to some British citizens who are living in Spain without legal residency status and who meet the requirements.
For anyone who believes they may qualify, acting sooner rather than later is essential. Leaving an application until the last minute can make it more difficult to obtain supporting documents or resolve any issues that arise during the process.
In addition to immigration support, Heniam & Associates provides a wide range of legal and administrative services for expats across Spain, particularly on the Costa Cálida and Costa Blanca.
Their services include NIE and TIE applications, company formation, legal guidance, conveyancing, contract drafting, dispute resolution, translation and interpreting services, assistance with Spanish health and administrative systems, will writing, inheritance matters in both Spain and the UK, and support with foreign currency transfers.
Anyone who is unsure whether they qualify for the regularisation process, or who needs help preparing an application before the June 30 deadline, can contact Heniam & Associates for professional advice and assistance.
