February 22 Children’s tree planting campaign in Los Alcázares
Youngsters can contribute actively to environmental care in Los Alcázares!
The Town Hall of Los Alcázares and the Asociación Prometeo are again backing an activity called “Crecemos Juntos” (Growing Together) in an effort to encourage youngsters in the area to actively support measures which can be implemented to improve the environment and look after nature.
The idea of the scheme is to enable children aged up to “adopt” a tree, which will then be adorned with a plaque bearing the child’s name, thus committing themselves to looking after the environment in general and, more specifically, to improving the general appearance of the municipality. On Sunday 22nd February the planting activity is taking place at a venue which has yet to be confirmed.
Last year the limited number of places available to take part in the activity were fully booked very quickly, so if you have a youngster who would like to take part access the registration form via the QR code now!
For more local information in English including news, what’s on and visiting advice, contact the tourist offices in Los Alcázares (main telephone number 968 575756) or go to the home page of Los Alcázares Today.
