Free guided tours on offer in the Palacio de San Telmo in Sevilla
The historic building dates back to the 17th century and is the home of the Andalusian regional government
The Palacio de San Telmo in Sevilla is offering free guided tours to those who wish to learn more about the cultural and historical significance of this building as well as witnessing one of the most important architectural buildings in Andalucía.
This Palace was built between the 17th and 18th centuries, with the original structure being completed in 1796, and is the current seat of the regional government in Andalucía. Over the centuries the building has had many different uses, including a royal residence, a school for orphans and a university.
The guided tours last for about an hour and a half and are carried out by a registered guide. Those who wish to book a group tour can do so by registering on the San Telmo Abierto part of the regional government’s website (https://www.juntadeandalucia.es/presidencia/santelmoabierto/).
After registering, which will require providing contact details and a DNI, NIE or residency card, individuals and groups can then make a reservation.
Requests for further information or any questions can be resolved by sending an email to santelmoabierto@juntadeandalucia.es or by calling 955 00 10 10 during the work hours of San Telmo Abierto, which are 9 am until 7 pm from Monday to Thursday and from 9 am until 3 pm on Fridays.
Those organizing the tours have warned that pointed, or stiletto, heels cannot be worn in some of the rooms and large bags are not permitted.
