July 24 Lluís Coloma Blues Project with “Rockin’ my Blues in San Javier” and Fusion Experience Quartet at the 2026 San Javier Jazz Festival
Brilliant boogie woogie and blues piano and the remarkable Dave Weckl heading up a star quartet at the open-air auditorium of Parque Almansa in San Javier
TICKETS FOR THE 28th SAN JAVIER INTERNATIONAL JAZZ FESTIVAL ARE NOW ON SALE ONLINE HERE (both season tickets and individual concerts)
The final night of the 2026 International Jazz Festival of San Javier kick off with a return to the shore of the Mar Menor for Lluís Coloma, the grand master of blues and boogie woogie piano in Spain, as he presents a special concert conceived for the closing of the 28th edition of the festival. Based on his fantastic 2011 album, “Rockin’ my Blues in Chicago” (a solo piano album), Lluís presents a revisiting and adaptation of many of his songs, as well as some new ones, with an electrifying quintet that includes Manolo Germán on double bass, Julian Vaughn on drums, Kid Carlos on guitar, and the powerful voice of French-American singer Nicole Rochelle.
The great Catalan pianist and his quintet offer a promising sonic journey blending tradition and contemporary energy, where Blues, Boogie Woogie, Rock & Roll, and Jazz come together in a joyful experience to fill the soul with joy.

Speaking of experience, the last act to appear at the 2026 San Javier Jazz Festival is the “Fusion Experience Quartet”, giving us a brilliant and innovative blend of jazz, rock, and world music through the talents of four great musicians.
They are;
Dave Weckl, considered one of the best and most spectacular drummers of all time, who has collaborated on projects with artists such as George Benson, Paul Simon, Michel Camilo, Madonna, Mike Stern, Diana Ross, Robert Plant, and Lee Ritenour. Their 1999 concert with the Dave Weckl Band, their 2008 performance with Metro Special Edition, their 2015 concert with Chris Min Doky & The Nomads, and especially their 2018 concert with Chick Corea's Akoustic Band—which many consider one of the best concerts in the festival's history—are golden memories in the festival's history.
Richard Bona, an exceptional and charismatic bassist and singer with a unique vocal timbre that highlights his African roots
Michael Lecoq, one of the most highly regarded figures on the French jazz scene, and
Ciro Manna, a spectacular Italian guitarist and producer and the driving force behind the project.
