La Manga Club Restaurants and Bars

La Manga Club restaurants include Indian, American, Mexican, Asian, Italian and Mediterranean cuisine

La Manga Club Restaurants and BarsLa Manga Club features a wide variety of restaurants and bars, and unlike many other newer resort-style developments almost all of them are open all year round.

In the Las Lomas area, perched on the hill to the west of the main golf courses, the offer consists of four eateries: Luigi’s (pasta and pizzas), the Dharma (Indian establishment cuisine with spectacular views from the location in the spa and conference centre complex, open only in the summer), the Village istro Bar and La Pérgola, the snack-bar next to the pool with fresh produce cooked on the grill.

All of these venues are extremely well presented, and while La Pérgola only opens in the summer and the Dharma is open seasonally, the other two are both open all year round.

La Manga Club Restaurants and BarsAround the Hotel Príncipe Felipe there are four more sumptuous eating establishments in luxury surroundings. The hotel’s signature restaurant, the Amapola, looks out onto the 18th hole of the South Course. The restaurant is not open for lunch in the summer except on Sundays, as sitting out on the terrace becomes uncomfortably warm for most guests, but provides sunny and comfortable facilities outside of the main hot months of the year.

The Piano Bar provides a selection of international cuisine and live music all year round, and the Sol y Sombra restaurant compensates for the Amapola’s closure in the summer months, offering succulent light meals by the pool and sundown drinks from April to October.

La Manga Club Restaurants and BarsIn the commercial area next to the Tennis Centre there is another wide selection of dining options, including Uncle Sam’s American diner, the Asian fusion experience of Asia restaurant and the Spanish tapas specialities and wines of La Bodega. Mulligan’s provides quality pub fare, and both Tie Break and Splash offer snacks and light lunches inside the Tennis Centre.

Other La Manga Club facilities include the beach bar at La Cala, which opens during the summer and hosts spectacular late evening events for residents and guests, and of course the golf clubhouse bar, known as Bar 37. Although there is a small cafeteria at the West Course this is the venue most golfers will wish to visit, not only to enjoy the well-priced refreshments but also to admire the array of golfing greats and other celebrities whose photographs adorn the walls. La Manga Club Restaurants and BarsFor many years this allowed the chance to see sporting legends such as Ian Botham and Henry Cooper side by side, and although the decoration changes it is always a fascinating chance to see something of the 40-year history of one of Spain’s most prestigious golf clubs.
