Love was in the air at Caser Residencial's International Units this Valentine's Day
Residents of the International Units celebrated with a special meal, heartfelt letters and shared memories
This Valentine’s Day was marked with warmth and affection at Caser Residencial Santo Ángel in Murcia and Caser Residencial Málaga, where residents and day centre visitors from the International Units there came together to celebrate love in all its forms.
Both centres were filled with hearts and love-themed decorations, some of which were prepared by the residents and centre users themselves, and a special meal was prepared to make the occasion feel truly memorable.
The celebration also included the sharing of “letters filled with memories, affection and kind words,” according to the Caser Residencial team.
The International Unit at the Santo Ángel and Málaga centres are two very special care units, the only two Caser Residencial runs in the whole of Spain, which are dedicated to English-speaking residents and other foreign nationals who may not feel comfortable communicating in Spanish. By offering care and activities in their own language, the unit helps elderly residents to feel understood, supported and at home, while encouraging integration with the wider community within the centre.
That’s why this Valentine’s Day was about far more than a themed event, “because love, in all its forms, always finds its place here,” as the Caser Residencial team said.

For residents, there are both twin and single rooms available, and the option to stay indefinitely or temporarily for the purposes of recuperation, post-operative treatment or family rest.
