May 30 Puerto de Mazarrón hosts its 14th National Dog Show

Breeds from across Spain will compete at Plaza del Campeón Pedro Acosta in this free family event

Puerto de Mazarrón is set to welcome dog lovers from across the Region of Murcia and beyond on Saturday May 30, when Plaza del Campeón Pedro Acosta plays host to the XIV National Dog Show, taking place for the fourteenth consecutive year in what's become a firm fixture in the local calendar.

The event gets underway at 5.30pm and promises a great afternoon out for families, with a wide variety of breeds on display, including some that are rarely seen in public and will be a real eye-opener for anyone who hasn't come across them before.

It's a brilliant opportunity to discover just how diverse and fascinating the canine world is, all in a relaxed, festive atmosphere with plenty going on for all ages.

The competition counts towards the Region of Murcia Championship as well as the Pug Club Championship, and also includes initial registrations and breed confirmations, making it a huge event in the regional dog show calendar.

Registration is open until Wednesday through the Murcia Kennel Club website at www.sociedadcaninademurcia.es, although anyone who misses the deadline can also sign up on the day between 5.30pm and 6.30pm.
