October 18 and 19 Caravaca Power Pop festival returns to the centre of Caravaca de la Cruz
Pop-rock icons Los Enemigos top the bill as Caravaca goes music crazy for the weekend
Eight bands, some Spanish and some from abroad, are featuring in the Caravaca Power Pop festival of 2024 on a bill topped by the legendary group Los Enemigos, one of the icons of Spanish pop rock in the late 80s and early 1990s.
Most of the concerts take place in the bullring and the Plaza del Arco, but it is always the case that the entire city centre is filled with music and partygoers for the weekend of the festival, bringing a huge influx of tourists and visitors to Caravaca de la Cruz during its Holy Jubilee Year of 2024. All of the events during the weekend are free of charge except the four acts appearing at the bullring, for which tickets are available online here at 15 euros and at Pub La Nota (20 euros for those paying on the door).
The program for the festival is as follows:
Friday October 18
21.00: DJ in the Plaza del Arco.
22.00: Concert featuring Los Hermanos Dalton, Erik Voeks & The Ghosters and Atticusfinch in the Plaza del Arco.
After the concert the venue changes to Pub La Nota for more music.
Saturday October 19
12.30 to 16.00: DJ music in the old city centre (Plaza del Arco, Calle Mayor and Plaza Nueva).
17.30 to 19.45: The Yellow Melodies in concert in La Zona, followed by more vinyl disc music.
20.00 to 1.30: Concert featuring Los Enemigos, Paul Collins, The Yum Yums and Tiburona in the bullring.
2.00 to 4.00: Vinyl discs at Pub La Nota.
