Relive your youth at unforgettable concerts with Rewind Spain
The best original stars and tribute shows in the business are wowing audiences on the Costa Blanca
Bryan Adams UK
There’s no business like showbusiness, and understanding the importance of putting on a proper show is what makes the concerts booked by Rewind Spain special.
Company director Casey Shaddock has been promoting concerts around the globe for over 40 years, and now brings some of the best in the business, both original stars and tribute shows, to the Costa Blanca.
These acts have ranged from huge country artistes in America, such as George Strait, Gene Watson, George Jones and Charlie Daniels, to rock stars like Head East, Ricky Nelson, Eric Johnson, Rocky Hill Band (ZZ Top's Dusty Hill's brother) and more.
They have also included huge stars across the water, such as Leo Sayer, Les McKeown & The Bay City Rollers, The Foundations, Tony Christie, Los Pacaminos featuring Paul Young, Paul Da Vinci, and many more.
“We call many of these folks our friends,” she notes, and the network of session musicians all know each other too, so Casey is perfectly placed to understand who can put on the sort of shows she is certain that audiences here in Spain will love.
Since moving to Alicante province in Spain, she has already demonstrated this with many years of successful Rewind Spain events at Villamartín Plaza, in Orihuela Costa.
And she emphasises the importance of making sure she always looks after the acts, “because they will go the extra mile for you”.
Rewind to your youth
“Rewind Spain is all about our memories and the good times we all had when young,” she explains.
With a demographic that is mostly aged over 50, she aims to find music from their youth from a wide variety of genres.
Casey is aware that the Costa Blanca has many talented musicians playing in local bars, so many people don’t want to pay to see live music here.
“If that’s all they want then don’t go,” she asserts.
“They need to understand they are getting a real show.”
For this reason Casey carefully researches all the tribute acts she books to make sure they are dedicated professionals, often noted by the stars themselves, and have what it takes to create a thrilling atmosphere.
“It’s a small circle so I know who has talent and who to avoid,” she says.
These acts don’t come cheap so audiences have to know they will be getting their money’s worth when they buy their tickets, notes Casey.
“From start to finish you will have music, opening acts and the main show,” she assures.
“With our shows, we want you to get up and enjoy the music, sing along and be young.”
Beating the storm to bring Bryan Adams
The latest gig, featuring Bryan Adams UK, ably supported by Greg Bannis from Hot Chocolate, was put on in collaboration with Costa Blanca Events at the Recinto Multiusos in San Fulgencio on October 11.
The irrepressible Greg Bannis has built up a relationship of mutual trust with Casey over years of working together and happily played an extra half-hour to get the audience dancing with his marathon 90-minute one-man show.
Then the UK's best tribute to Bryan Adams fully embodied the rock persona and thrilled the audience with an unforgettable live performance of his greatest hits, including an extra encore.
This was no small achievement, as the concert took place the day after a severe storm caused chaos with flooding in many areas of the Costa Blanca and Region of Murcia.
Due to the red alert storm warning issued by the authorities, it was not certain until the last minute whether they would even be allowed to use the venue, and several of the stallholders who had been booked decided to cancel.
Casey admitted that the event almost didn’t go ahead, but the band were already here so she and Heather from Costa Blanca Events were determined not to let ticketholders down.
They had to pull out all the stops to provide a fully stocked bar and staff, as well as top quality food trucks on site to fuel the revelry.
The audience were blissfully unaware of all the frantic preparations behind the scenes, as evidenced by almost universally fantastic feedback she has received.
She was also pleased with the potential of the venue for shows in the future, as it was the first time they have used this large hangar-like facility in San Fulgencio, which has capacity for at least 800 people.
“Bring the best, make it the best, do it with passion and hopefully you will make some money but it’s always a gamble,” emphasises Casey.
From Coldplay to Fleetwood Mac
As is often the way for her, one of the Bryan Adams band members happened to have gone to school with a friend of hers, and she also shares a mutual friend with the drummer from Ultimate Coldplay.
Acknowledged as the world's most accurate tribute to Coldplay, they are so in demand that they have already booked all their weekend slots for 2026.
Rewind Spain brought them over and they wowed the audience at Restaurante Los Cucalos in Orihuela Costa on September 17.
Singer and multi-instrumentalist David, whose resemblance to Chris Martin is uncanny, also perfectly nails the voice and mannerisms of the global star, making it easy to forget you are watching a tribute.
He and the band put on such a spectacular non-stop gig for an hour and 40 minutes that one audience member, who had just been to see Coldplay at the O2 only the week before, insisted it was better than the real thing!
The concert by Fleetwood Bac, the world’s number one Fleetwood Mac tribute (who have come over and played twice for Casey), at Los Cucalos in February 2025 was similarly thrilling.
Their skilled musicianship and electric harmonies turned the restaurant into a whirling mass of people dancing the night away to some of the finest 60s, 70s and 80s British-American rock, pop and blues ever written.
What's next?
As the dust settles on another summer of fun, Casey and Heather are already planning what shows Rewind Spain and Costa Blanca Events will put on next year.
Although nothing is confirmed yet, some of the legendary names being considered are tributes to ELO, Paul McCartney, George Michael and The Eagles - and you can be sure that they will be the best - so watch this space to find out all the info first, and to make sure you don’t miss the gigs that everyone will be talking about.
