Santa's Grotto returns to Orihuela Costa
The Christmas village will take pride of place at Zenia Boulevard shopping centre
The Orihuela Council is gearing up to bring the magic of Christmas 2024 to the city and its coast, and it's going to be a festive season to remember.
As part of the celebrations, the council has announced plans to create a Santa Claus Village in both Orihuela city and Orihuela Costa. The grottos will be a winter wonderland where children can meet Santa Claus, deliver their letters and take part in a range of fun activities.
Orihuela City Santa’s Grotto
The Christmas village in Orihuela city will be located in the Glorieta Gabriel Miró and will feature a range of attractions, including:
- A festive entrance with a large arch, two trees and a red carpet path
- A workshop area where elves will be busy preparing for Christmas, including a gift wrapping workshop, a sewing workshop, a letter writing workshop and a carpentry workshop
- Santa's House, where children can meet the big man himself and take part in a range of activities, including writing letters and taking photos
Orihuela Costa Christmas Village
The grotto in Orihuela Costa will be located in the car park of the Zenia Boulevard shopping centre and will have a host of exciting attractions, including:
- Bustling elves to lead your little ones around the village, which will be decorated with a stunning array of Christmas trees, LED lights and fun workshops.
- At the end of the grotto, children can visit the Santa House and meet the man of the hour, along with one of his most important elves.
Timetables
The villages will be open on the following dates and times:
- Orihuela City: December 21 from 5pm to 9pm, December 22 from 10am to 2pm and from 5pm to 9pm, December 23 from 10am to 2pm and from 5pm to 9pm.
- Orihuela Costa: December 21 from 10am to 2pm and from 4pm to 8pm, December 22 from 10am to 2pm and from 4pm to 8pm.
