The Polideportivo is alongside the River Segura in the north of Archena

The municipal sports complex of Archena provides facilities, courts and installations for swimmers, footballers and fans of tennis, rock climbing, five-a-side football, basketball and a variety of other sports.

The Polideportivo includes the pitch used by the local football team, an indoor swimming pool (open on weekdays from 16.00 to 22.00), basketball courts, a gymnasium and multi-sports areas where various sporting events can be catered for. The main pavilion is often used for matches by the different male and female teams representing the local basketball club, and opens on weekdays from 17.00 to 23.00, on Saturdays from 9.00 to 13.00 and 17.00 to 21.00, and on Sundays and public holidays from 9.00 to 13.00 only.

The Polideportivo is on Avenida del Río Segura, the same road as the tourist office, the caravan and motor home park and the open-air auditorium in the northern end of Archena. Anyone approaching from the A-30 motorway should follow the signs towards the town centre and then turn right at the roundabout immediately after crossing the river: this eventually leads to the Avenida del Río Segura, past the local museum and the tourist office and on to the sports complex.
