Torre Pacheco road from Mar Menor Golf Resort to airport reopens but disruption continues
The carretera RM-313 Variante Norte is back open after two years, but ADIF has closed traffic on the Puente de El Pasico due to high-speed rail works

After two years of closures, the Variante Norte (RM-313) in Torre Pacheco is finally back in use. This restores the direct route between Mar Menor Golf Resort and Corvera Airport. People who use this road will now enjoy much shorter travel times than the long detours that have been in place.
However, not everything is back to normal. Railways infrastructure company ADIF has closed traffic on the Puente de El Pasico as part of ongoing high-speed rail works. This affects a 1.4-kilometre section between the Variante Norte roundabout and the roundabout near the Lola del Pasico residence.

To get between Torre Pacheco and Roldán while the bridge remains closed, it’s best to follow the Variante Norte via either the El Jimenado road (RM-F14) or the Balsicas road (RM-F22).
Those needing to reach the Virgen del Pasico funeral home can still use the service roads of Los Sotos Nuevos and Los Baños to access the area safely.
While the reopening of the RM-313 is great news, it’s worth remembering that the area is still affected by closures, so give yourself a little extra time and follow the signs while the works carry on.
