WATCH: Orihuela Costa Police rescue puppy after fall from beachside cliff
Officers scrambled down the rocky slope in Aguamarina to bring the young puppy back to safety
A five-month-old puppy is back home safely after a frightening fall from a cliff in the Aguamarina area of Orihuela Costa over the weekend.
Local Police officers were called after reports that the young dog had become trapped at the bottom of an approximately eight-metre drop in an area that was difficult to reach.
When officers arrived, they found the puppy stuck on the rocky slope, visibly shaken and nervous but still conscious. Police carefully made their way down the cliffside before securing the area and bringing the dog back up to safety.
After the rescue, the puppy was reunited with its owners, who took it straight to a veterinary clinic for a full check-up.According to municipal sources, the dog escaped without any serious injuries despite the fall.
The quick response from officers helped bring the incident to a happy ending, with the young puppy safely back with its family just a short time later.
