Autumn 2024: A massive season of live entertainment in Torrevieja
The Costa Blanca city will hold more than 30 gigs including ABBA, The Nutcracker and tons of local talent
Torrevieja is gearing up for a spectacular season of live entertainment from September to December. With more than 30 shows lined up, there's something for everyone, including world-famous tribute acts, comedy, theatre and children's entertainment.
All of these performances will be held either at the Municipal Theatre or the International Auditorium of Torrevieja.
Here's a month-by-month breakdown of what's in store:
September
- The ninth edition of the Torrevieja Audiovisual Film Festival.
- The family-friendly show, 'Sleeping Beauty'.
- The 36th International Choral Meeting, organised by Coral Francisco Vallejos, promises to be a musical highlight.
- The comedy 'El Sentido del Humor: Dos Tontos y Yo', starring well-known Spanish comedians and actors Florentino Fernández, José Mota and Santiago Segura.
- A special dinner-cocktail event, 'La Previa Gourmet', will precede the comedy show, offering an exclusive wine-paired dining experience.
- To close out the month, the Torrevieja Orfeón will celebrate its 17th anniversary with a tribute concert honouring its esteemed director, Mario Bustillo.
October
- The International Day for Older Persons Gala, organised by the Department of Older Persons.
- The comedy 'Mujeres: La Dramedia'.
- A concert by renowned artist Pastora Soler, celebrating her 30-year artistic career.
- The first session of the XXI Musical Exchange Concert Campaign, featuring performances by the La Paz Musical Society and the Torrevieja Musical Union.
- Ismael Lemais and La Kiskillosa will present their new show, 'Madre Mía', sharing their experiences as new parents.
- ABBA fans will be thrilled by 'ABBA: The New Experience', one of the best tributes to the iconic Swedish band.
- The first concert of the season by the Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra.
- Sette Voci, the renowned vocal group, will debut their first album with a special concert.
- Two impressive operas: 'Maria Callas: Sfogato' and the international hit 'Tosca, by Puccini'.
- A highly anticipated comedy show by Faemino and Cansado.
- A concert by Shani Ormiston.
- For Halloween, the Municipal Theatre will host the children's musical 'Juan Sin Miedo & la Casa Encantada', about a young man who has never known fear.
November
- The XVIII Flamenco Meeting, organised by the Casa de Andalucía Rafael Alberti.
- A concert celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Manuel Barberá Choral Group.
- A performance by the Youth Band of the Torrevieja Musical Union.
- The Coronation of the Queen of Salt 2024-2025.
- Celebrations for the patron saint of Santa Cecilia, with concerts by Los Salerosos, the Torrevieja Musical Union and the Francisco Casanovas Professional Conservatory.
- A concert by the Royal Film Concert Orchestra, featuring music from 100 years of cinema.
- An opera performance, ‘De la Piquer a la Navarro’, by Diana Navarro.
- A family-friendly show, 'Lily: A Tale of Torrevieja'.
December
- A comedy performance by Ángel Martín.
- The presentation of the Comic-Musical Magazine La Sal de Torrevieja, along with the awarding of the Diego Ramírez Pastor Prize.
- The entertaining comedy 'Eloísa está bajo un almendro' by Ars Creatio.
- The Culture Gala.
- A children's show by the popular band Pica Pica, just in time for the Christmas holidays.
- A Christmas concert by the Los Salerosos Youth Band.
- The enchanting ballet performance of 'El Cascanueces' ('The Nutcracker') by the Barcelona Ballet.
- 'Navidad Rociera', organised by the Andalucían Cultural Association.
- The play 'Los Amigos de Ellos Dos'.
- To close out the year, the UMT's 'Broadway' Christmas concert.
