Camposol B Clean Gardening volunteers spring back into action

The dedicated gardening group has thrown itself into a hedge-trimming marathon after a well-deserved summer break

The B Clean volunteers have emerged from summer hibernation and are now catching up with a few necessary jobs around Camposol Sector B.

Now that the area at the bottom of the lower car park has been cleared of rubbish and the skips removed, the group is starting to tidy and cultivate along the boundary.

Some yuccas and oleanders have been planted along with a couple of small trees which were transplanted from the top corner by the bins. The volunteers decided to remove the trees as the top corner is now for sale and they thought it prudent to relocate them before they were lost. The bottom corner nearest the road still needs to be cleared, so this will be done soon.

The group has now moved on to its annual hedge trimming marathon. Work started on Calle Jara this week and volunteers will trim along both sides of the road before moving on to Calle Lavanda at the Community Centre. They'll trim along both sides there down to the Calle Cyclamen roundabout and then deal with the hedge around the Petanca garden. It's a lengthy job but, the group is sure residents will agree, well worth doing.

Mags has recently been in hospital and so is not currently doing the weekly bucket collection. However, any of the volunteers will be happy to accept donations, which the group knows residents are eager to give.
