Lorca public swimming pools open for summer on July 1
Swimming classes and aqua aerobics will be held at La Parroquia and Zarcilla de Ramos

The municipal swimming pools in La Parroquia and Zarcilla de Ramos are set to open next Tuesday July 1, officially launching the summer season in Lorca. Both pools will welcome swimmers from Tuesday to Sunday, between 1pm and 8pm, while remaining closed on Mondays for routine cleaning and maintenance.
Ahead of the reopening, the Lorca City Council’s Sports Department has carried out a series of upgrades to the facilities. Improvements include renovations to changing rooms, bathrooms, and beach and shower areas, alongside thorough water treatment and health checks.
Lifeguard, cleaning and security services will be in place throughout the summer to ensure a safe and pleasant experience for all visitors.

At the Zarcilla de Ramos pool, classes will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with aquagym at 3.10pm and 4pm, Level 0 swimming at 4.50pm and Level 1 at 5.40pm.
Over in La Parroquia, classes will run on Wednesdays and Fridays, starting with Level 0 swimming at 4pm Level 1 at 4.50pm and aquagym at 5.40pm.
Entry prices remain the same as last year, with special discounts ranging from 20% to 30% available for large families and holders of youth cards. Children and pensioners can enjoy a swim for just €2, or purchase a 5-swim pass for €8 and a 10-swim pass for €14. Adults pay €3 per visit, €12 for five swims or €21 for ten. Family entry is €10, with a 5-visit pass available for €40.

“The courses offered at the summer pools promote both active leisure activities and the learning of a sport as comprehensive as swimming, which can be continued throughout the school year at the San Antonio and Felipe VI sports complexes.”
