Police presence continues on Camposol urbanisation

Guardia Civil conduct road block on Camposol urbanisation

On Monday, March 4 at around 5.00pm a Guardia Civil road block appeared on the eastbound carriageway of Avenida de los Covachos between Sectors D and C of the Camposol urbanisation.

Two Guardia Civil patrol vehicles with blue lights flashing and 4 officers stopped numerous cars for around 35 minutes. The reason for the operation is unknown although local residents report that the location has been the site of Local Police and Guardia Civil traffic control operations in recent months.

This follows a Mazarrón Local Police report of a joint police operation focused on Camposol and Mazarrón town during the afternoon and evening of Thursday, February 29 which resulted in approximately 25 people being found with documentation irregularities, one arrest for an outstanding warrant from the criminal court of Lorca and other arrests including seizure of prohibited weapons. Obviously all these were not centred on Camposol.
