Summer arrives in Murcia: Weather forecast June 1-4
The Region of Murcia steps into meteorological summer with clear skies, hot temperatures and virtually no rain

Murcia weather forecast, Tuesday June 2
June 1 marks the start of meteorological summer and, true to form, the Region of Murcia is greeting the new season in style. According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), the first four days of the month will be characterised by sunny skies, rising temperatures and barely a cloud in sight. After weeks of unsettled spring weather, the sun is back in charge.
Minimum overnight temperatures will generally hover between 17°C and 20°C across the Region, while daytime maximums are already pushing well into the mid-30s in central inland areas around Murcia city, a clear sign that the hot summer months are upon us.
Monday June 1
Murcia weather forecast, Monday June 1The first day of meteorological summer opens with largely clear skies across the whole Region. Aemet is forecasting mainly sunny conditions with light to moderate south-easterly winds of around 15kmh, enough to take the edge off what will be a warm morning turning genuinely hot by the afternoon.
Maximum temperatures will climb to around 34-35ºC in Murcia city and the central inland areas, while the northern strip and the southern coastal belt will be somewhat cooler, reaching highs of 27-31ºC. Overnight minimums will stay above 19ºC in most of the Region, with the coast particularly warm. There is zero probability of rain.
Tuesday June 2
Murcia weather warnings, Tuesday June 2Tuesday continues the same pattern: clear to partly cloudy skies with temperatures largely unchanged from Monday or nudging slightly higher inland, where an orange alert for high temperatures is active from 2pm to 8pm, while the coast is subject to a yellow alert for the same time period. Aemet's forecast for the Region for the first part of the week is broadly stable, with "cloudless or nearly cloudless skies, light and variable winds, temperatures rising".
In the northern municipalities such as Yecla and Jumilla, daytime highs will be around 29-31ºC. Along the Costa Cálida coast near Cartagena and Mazarrón, the sea breeze will keep temperatures a little more pleasant at 27-29ºC. Meanwhile, central Murcia and the Vega del Segura will again see highs of 33-35ºC in the early to mid-afternoon, with light winds and virtually no cloud cover.
Wednesday June 3
Murcia weather forecast, Wednesday June 3Wednesday looks set to be the hottest day of the four-day period, with maximum temperatures in central Murcia potentially nudging towards 36-37ºC in the afternoon. A high pressure system firmly in control over the western Mediterranean continues to suppress any chance of rainfall, and the breeze remains light and variable.
Overnight, temperatures will remain stubbornly high: minimums in the city will not fall below 20ºC, and on the coast could remain close to 22ºC. This is the kind of warm night that signals the Region has well and truly put spring behind it. Anyone planning outdoor activities is advised to avoid the hottest part of the day, roughly 1pm to 6pm, and to stay well hydrated.
Thursday June 4
Minimum and maximum temperatures in Murcia, Thursday June 4Thursday maintains the same broadly settled, sunny and hot outlook. There are no significant fronts on the horizon and no weather warnings are expected. Aemet continues to forecast clear to slightly hazy skies, and a little high cloud may drift in from the south in the afternoon but will not affect conditions meaningfully.
A slight north-westerly flow may develop during the afternoon in the interior, offering a marginal reduction in the heat in areas like Bullas and Caravaca de la Cruz, but maximum temperatures will still reach into the low 30s. The coast and lowlands remain dry and warm, with a pleasant evening breeze expected after sunset.

- Tuesday June 2: Min 19ºC; Max 34ºC
- Wednesday June 3: Min 20ºC; Max 36ºC
