Windy but warm: Murcia Christmas weather forecast December 23-26

A yellow weather warning for strong gusts has been issued in parts of Murcia this Monday

Christmas week promises to be mostly bright, sunny and mild throughout the Region of Murcia, with the exception of some strong gusts of winds forecast by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) on December 23.

Christmas Eve and the big day itself will be warm and settled, but come Boxing Day there’s a chance of some light rain in many parts of the Region.

Monday December 23

Aemet has issued a yellow level adverse warning for northwesterly winds, with gusts of up to 70 kilometres per hour predicted in the Antiplano and the Segura Valley until around 3pm, when things should settle down.

Aside from this, the skies will be clear and although the daytime temperatures will remain unchanged for now, Monday evening will be quite a bit warmer.

Tuesday December 24

Daytime temperatures will begin to creep up on Christmas Eve, hovering between 15ºC and 19ºC, but Tuesday night will be very chilly, with a light frost forecast in northern municipalities.

Unlike Monday, the winds coming from the north will be very light.

Wednesday December 25

Those planning to get out and about on Christmas Day are in luck as December 25 promises to be another bright, sunny day with some light cloud cover in coastal areas.

Temperatures will continue to climb, hitting 20ºC in Murcia city, with light, variable winds forecast across the Region.

Thursday December 26

Boxing Day will bring a change in the weather across southern Spain. The day will be much cloudier throughout Murcia than previous days and there’s a good chance of rainfall across the board, although it will be light and scattered.

Daytime temperatures will also take a bit of a dip, although the evening will remain mild enough in coastal areas.

Monday December 23: Min 3ºC; Max 19ºC
Tuesday December 24: Min 1ºC; Max 19ºC
Wednesday December 25: Min 1ºC; Max 20ºC
Thursday December 26: Min 3ºC; Max 18ºC
