Andalucía weekend weather forecast June 26-29: Highs over 40ºC inland and strong Levante winds in the Strait
Very hot and sunny inland with some coastal mist and some strong breezes around the coast

Winds will be mostly light, but the Levante will be blowing strong through the Strait of Gibraltar. Weather warnings are in place for extreme heat, so it’s a good time to slow the pace and stay well hydrated.
Thursday June 26

Clear skies will dominate, with some early low cloud or mist along the eastern Mediterranean coast, especially near Almería. Temperatures will begin to climb again, with a noticeable jump on the Atlantic side. Western provinces like Huelva and Cádiz will feel the heat, and temperatures in places like Jaén will already be pushing into the high 30s. Winds will stay light and variable across the region.
Friday June 27

A very hot day ahead, with Seville forecast to hit 40ºC and Córdoba even hotter at 41ºC. Skies will remain mostly clear, though some high cloud and afternoon build-up is likely over the sierras. Morning mist may linger around the Strait and western Mediterranean coast. The Levante will pick up strongly around Tarifa, while light to moderate easterly winds will affect the Mediterranean side and Cádiz.
Saturday June 28

Temperatures will stay extremely high, particularly in inland areas near Huelva and across parts of Seville and Cordoba where they’ll hover above 40ºC again. The afternoon may bring a bit of cloud over the sierras, but otherwise the day will be dry and sunny. Light breezes inland, but the Levante will continue strong through the Strait. Coastal areas like Málaga should remain a little cooler with a pleasant onshore breeze.
Sunday June 29

The heat peaks on Sunday, with Córdoba expecting a sweltering 43ºC. Elsewhere, temperatures will also remain high but stable. Conditions stay dry with a bit of afternoon cloud in the sierras. Winds will be light inland, with moderate easterlies in Mediterranean areas and a persistent strong Levante in the Strait.
It’s looking like a classic inland summer weekend – dry, hot and still – so keep cool, seek shade where you can and enjoy the calmer weather by the coast.
